The City of Washington’s Annual Fireworks Display will Be tonight at dusk at the Washington County Fairgrounds.  A rain date is scheduled for July 5^th.  Sheriff Jerry Dunbar asks Washington County residents to stay safe by not taking unnecessary risks with illegal fireworks, a simple misdemeanor in Iowa.  Fireworks displays are also taking place in Wellman, Crawfordsville, Coralville, Wayland, Mt. Pleasant, and Fairfield.
