In class 1A baseball, two area teams were playing Saturday for the right to move on to sub-state. First the Highland Huskies took on Burlington Notre Dame in Mount Pleasant. Notre Dame ended up winning big 15-1 in five innings. Meanwhile Sigourney was playing HLV a team they split with in the regular season, HLV got the win Saturday edging out Sigourney 6-5. 1A and 2A sub-state games will be played tomorrow.
