A Washington man is winning an entrepreneurial award and $10,000 in start up capital from the University of Iowa. Keaton Walker is the Hubert E. Sorer Engineering Student Entrepreneurial Start-up Award winner. He’s a May graduate of the university’s engineering program. He won the award for his project Responsible Transport LLC. Keaton’s project has also won the Bedell Lab end-of-year competition which comes with a $5,000 grand prize as well as the Volding Business Plan Competition which comes with a $3,00 grand prize. Keaton’s Responsible Transport LLC would collect and process unwanted resources, identify potential markets and transport the resources.
