Washington County Supervisors are in the process of approving a zoning map, while staunch zoning opponents continue to protest. Free County member Mary Leedy this week posed several questions to the board including whether they thought it was wise to move forward considering a future board might rescind the ordinance. Supervisors have approved the first reading of an ordinance that would implement a zoning map. One major proposed change would be to shrink and modify the city of Riverside’s urban reserve area.
