A southeast Iowa state lawmaker is touting a rating the state is receiving from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. State Senator Becky Schmitz says Iowa has been ranked in the top ten for state’s with policies that support private sector job creation. Schmitz says the report “is proof the legislature’s bipartisan work is paying off.” The U.S. Chamber report states that “Iowa’s approach to economic development focuses on developing a skilled workforce, increasing job and wealth creation, and promoting entrepreneurship.”
