Washington School Board members have approved the elimination of three positions within the district. Superintendent Dave Sextro says three teachers were notified earlier this year that their jobs would be cut. Sextro says the reductions were made based on seniority. The school board had initially expected to eliminate nine other people, but through negotiations with the union representing teachers those positions were spared.
