A Des Moines Attorney vying for U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley’s job says her professional experience would help her in public office. Roxanne Conlin is running as a Democrat. She says Washington D.C. has become polluted by special interests, and large corporations. In 2000, Conlin brought a class action lawsuit against Microsoft. The settlement of the case resulted in funds being made available to Iowa school districts. Washington was among the first in the state to have its application for the money approved.
