Rural Wellman Bridge Slated for Replacement

A bridge in rural Wellman is slated for replacement this summer, and the project is expected to cost Washington County very little. Engineer David Patterson says the crossing over Hickory, south of 22 was built in the 1930’s and modified in the 70’s. He says much of the project will be paid for using federal transportation money. The bridge is on the county’s five-year-plan, which makes it eligible for such funding.
