Riverside Farmer Awarded USDA Loan for Energy Effecient Grain Drying System

DNA Tests Needed to Compete at Ak-Sar-Ben

The Ak-Sar-Ben 4-H Livestock Exposition in Omaha is coming up, and the Washington County Extension is reminding youth interested in exhibiting swine or feeder calves, that they must have DNA samples collected by June 1st. The DNA samples have to be collected by an Extension staff member. Nominating through the Iowa State Fair process is not accepted for Ak-Sar-Ben. To schedule a time for your samples to be collected, contact the Washington County Extension.

Description: Members of the high school writing and acting group, “The Kids Who Never Learned to Color Inside the Lines” will be showcasing their career works in a senior recital at the Washington High School Auditorium, May 27-28 at 7:00 p.m. The program will include comedic skits and sketches, improvisational acting, and their first full-length play, “Disease”. Admission is $5.00.\”
