The race is on to raise money for a new roof at Hamakua Place Youth Center in Washington. Earlier this year, the Optimist club issued a challenge to other local non profit groups and businesses to match or top a 500-thousand dollar donation. The effort continues today. There’s pork loin supper tonight at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. They’ll serve until the food runs out.
