Local residents descended on downtown Washington last night for the opening of the Farmer’s Market season. Despite the unseasonably cool May southeast Iowa has had so far producers still had a fair selection for fresh produce seekers. Joyce Gauger brings her produce exclusively to the Washington Farmer’s Market from western Muscatine County. She was impressed by the variety vendors brought last night despite the cold weather. Farmer’s market is held every Thursday evening until October.
