The Washington United Methodist Church, 206 West 2nd Street, will host Don Colton, Saxophonist, Guitarist and Singer on Sunday, May 16th at the 9:00 and 10:30 am Worship Services.  Don Colton is from Southeast Iowa. He grew up in a musical family and gave his first public performance at age 7, singing for a small country church, accompanied by his mother and sister on the piano. As a high school student, he performed in his parent’s band. He has studied music at the University of Iowa and University of Northern Illinois. He was lead saxophonist for The First Calvary Army Band at Fort Hood Texas and was an arranger and producer for a band that was featured with Lou Rawls. Don lives in Myrtle Beach, SC performing solo and with his band Permanent Tourist.
