Officials in Washington are issuing a warning to landowners in the city: cut your grass or face the consequences. City code allows grass to be no taller than eight inches on all residential or commercial properties. Tall grass and weeds are considered a nuisance. According to the city’s code of ordinances, property owners who are warned about tall weeds or grass, and do not comply, can face a fifty dollar fine.
