Voters in Fairfield will consider changing how their local option sales tax, is used during a special election next month. A ballot measure asks if part of the revenue collected from the one-percent tax should be diverted for use at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center. Currently all of the funding is devoted to infrastructure and community betterment. To pass, the measure requires a simple majority. The polls are open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm on Tuesday May 4th.
