The Washington High School is open today after being closed early Thursday and all day Friday last week due to a sewer line problem. Principal Shane Ehresman says the school started to have sewage backup early Thursday, and standing sewage water was in the building. Ehresman says after consulting with public health and the city, they felt the best thing to do was to close the school until the problem was fixed. Work on the sewer line began Friday morning and finished Saturday afternoon.
