Washington County is willing to accept some help maintaining secondary roads. Interim Engineer Jacob Thorius says they’re launching an adopt a gravel road program, where someone can donate rock to be applied to the road’s surface. Thorius says in return for the contribution, donors can opt to have a sign put up on the road indicating they provided the rock. Thorius says the program isn’t meant to replace regular county road maintenance, but rather supplement it.
