The Sigourney Boys Track and Field team opens their season today at Pekin. Sigourney Head Coach Mark Shilb says looking at the squad this year says one of the areas some have some high expectations are in some of the field events with two strong long jumpers with Logan Klein and Mike Bishop. In the high jump they have J.C. Abrahamson. Bishop and Abrahamson were both state qualifiers last year. Shilb says Logan Klein and J.C. Abrahamson also run well in the hurdles. Shilb feels some of their sprinters will also be strong this season.
