Schmitz Makes Relection Bid Official

[1]Schmitz filing paperwork with the secretary of stateState Senator Becky Schmitz has made her reelection campaign official. The Fairfield Democrat this week filed petitions with the secretary of state. Schmitz was first elected to the Iowa Senate in 2006. At least three Republicans are vying to unseat Schmitz: Rick Marlar of Wayland, Randy Besick of Keosauqua and Dan Cesar also of Keosauqua have all announced their seeking the GOP nomination to run for District 45 Senate seat.
