Cold, wet ground and calm winds have combined to bring dense fog to much of the region this morning. The fog is expected to lift slowly during the mid to late morning, but patchy dense fog may still be possible through about mid-day. The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a dense fog advisory. It’s in effect until 11:00 this morning.
