Washington City Councilors are looking adjusting some speed limits on East Washington Street. They commissioned a speed study from the Iowa Department of Transportation, and heard the results last night from the DOT’s Frank Redeker. He says they observed just under 400 vehicles traveling in either direction at a speed of around 57 miles per hour. Councilors have sent the study results to the streets committee for further discussion.
