Washington High School is closed today because of a backed up sewer line. High School Principal Shane Ehresman says they discovered the problem late yesterday morning. He says they’ve had a similar problem in the past, and have been able to clear the clog, but this time they were unable to. Ehresman says after consulting public health and the city, it was decided the best thing to do was to close the building, which they did at 2:15 yesterday afternoon. Because of the clog, the high school is closed today.
