The nation’s economy remains on shaky ground, but an annual event could help fix the situation. University of Iowa Economist Chuck Whiteman says income tax returns could serve as a sort of mini stimulus package. Whiteman says Iowa’s Revenue Estimating Conference report shows that tax returns are expected to be “fairly sizeable.” He says this could provide “a little jumpstart” to the Hawkeye State’s economy.
