Washington County Supervisors have approved applying for a $400,000 from the USDA to build a new facility for public health. Public Health Administrator Edie Nebel says if approved, they wouldn’t necessarily have to accept the full amount, or borrow any money at all. Nebel says the loan application also keeps them in the running for possible grant opportunities from the federal agency’s Rural Assistance Program.
