Southeast Iowa hasn’t had a chance to dry out since wet weather in the fall hampered area harvests. The ISU Extension Service’s Gene Mohling says it’s unclear at this point if wet conditions will cause trouble during spring planting. He says the best thing they can hope for now is limited precipitation and a gradual spring thaw.
