Description: On Saturday, February 6th from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m., bring your six month to twelve year old to the YMCA for Parent’s Night Out and they will enjoy age appropriate activities, swimming and much more while you enjoy your time alone. Make sure your child has eaten dinner before the event. A light snack will be provided. Parents must register by the Thursday the 4th. Contact the YMCA for more information.

Description: The Packwood Christian Church is having a lasagna dinner to benefit the people of Haiti on Sunday from 11 to 2 at the Packwood Christian Church. 100% of the proceeds of the free will donations will go to the Haiti Relief Fund.

Ecumenical Contemporary Christian Service

A new ecumenical contemporary Christian service will begin on Sunday February 21, 2010, and continue each Sunday thereafter, at the South English Baptist Church, 406 Church St., South English. The one hour service will follow the traditional service in the basement of the Church beginning at 12:00pm. A potluck lunch and fellowship will follow at 1:00pm. All denominations are invited and all are welcome! No offering will be taken. Please come join us as we lift our hands and voices to the King of Kings! If you have any questions or would like to help out with the service in any way, call 319-667-5256 and ask for Scott or Laurie Young.
