Lt. Governor Patty Judge had planned to be in Washington today, but had to cancel due to the weather. Her office says they’ve yet to reschedule
Funeral Mass for 86 year old Art Leinen (LINE-en) of Keota will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2010, at Holy Trinity Parish – St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota. Burial will be at Holy Trinity Cemeteries – St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Harper. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2010, at Powell Funeral Home in Keota, where there will be a wake service at 5:00 p.m., followed by a K.C. Rosary. Memorials have been established to Windthorst Council #1457 Knights of Columbus or Holy Trinity Parish in Art’s name.
Funeral Service for 101 year old Joseph Hershberger of Kalona are 9:30 am Tuesday (2/10) at the Paul Beachy residence at 1069 Maple Ave, Kalona. Burial will be in the East Union Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Paul Beachy residence tomorrow (2/9) starting at 10:00 am. Memorials are for Washington County Hospice.
Funeral services for 100 year old Inez Marie Loomis of Washington will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday (2/9) at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington. Burial will take place at the Friends Cemetery in Richland. Visitation will be from 9-10:30 am Tuesday (2/9) at the funeral home with family receiving friends after the service. A memorial has been established to the Washington United Methodist Church or the Washington Public Library.
