A business owner from Keosauqua is hoping to represent Van Buren, Jefferson and Washington Counties, and parts of Wapello and Johnson Counties in the Iowa Senate. Randy Besick is a Navy Veteran who owns an auto repair and auto parts store. Besick is entering a rather crowded Republican primary. Also vying for the nomination is Dan Cesar of Keosauqua and Rick Marlar of Wayland. The winner of the primary will face Democratic Incumbent Becky Schmitz.
