A proposed zoning ordinance for Washington County is up for first reading this week. Supervisors will also take public comment on the contentious issue during the special meeting. Board Chairman Jim Miksch says he hopes to hear specific examples of how the ordinance would affect residents. Law requires ordinances to undergo three readings before being passed. The earliest the ordinance could be up for either approval or denial by the board would be February 22. This week’s public meeting Wednesday night at 7:00 at the Washington County Fair Building.
