It’s January, but southeast Iowa is expected to see some weather that’s more typical in the spring. The National Weather Service says warm, moist air from the south will push rain into the area, with a possibility for some thunderstorms. Up to three inches of rain could fall by Sunday morning. Temperatures well above freezing will bring snow melt and the threat of ice jams. Colder air is expected to return Sunday night bringing high winds and occasional snow flurries.
