Switch Gear Leaves Riverside in the Dark

A burned up switch gear is being blamed for a power outage that left hundreds of Riverside residents without power yesterday. The outage was reported at about 3:00 PM. Alliant Energy says about 460 customers were affected. Crews restored power sometime overnight.
