Schmitz Supports Cash Reserve First Measure

[1]State Senator Becky Schmitz (D-Fairfield)State Senator Becky Schmitz says she’s supporting a measure that would require school districts to use cash reserves before raising property taxes. Schmitz says the General Assembly is pledging to balance the state’s budget without raising taxes and thinks schools should try to do the same. The measure was approved this week by the Senate Education Committee.
