press play to hear from Jeremy Patters

A local house moving company wants more up front financial support from the city of Washington on a joint building relocation project. Jeremy Patterson, of Jeremy Patterson House moving addressed city councilors at this week’s meeting. Patterson would like the city to commit roughly $86,000, half up front, a quarter when the old Mills Seed Building is moved and a quarter when the structure is reoccupied. Councilors expressed concern that they wouldn’t be able to recoup that cost if the project fell through. They’ve authorized the city administrator to continue negotiations with Patterson.
