Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley says renewing tax credits for biodiesel is a top priority for him this year. He issued a letter this month stating that it was the first issue he Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus intended to address this month. The “blenders” credit for biodiesel expired at the end of 2009. One local biodiesel maker says it has brought his industry to a grinding halt.
