Washington County has reached an agreement with the union that represents its secondary roads workers. Supervisors this week approved the new one year contract. It provides a $0.25 per hour increase in the base wage. It also expands funeral leave to an aunt or uncle of an employee and changes vacation claims to the calendar year rather than the fiscal year. The county has yet to reach an agreement with the union representing the sheriff’s deputies.
