CJ Levee Project Down, But Not Out

[1]Flooding in Columbus Junction in 2008Columbus Junction will not receive a $600,000 Community Development Block Grant to fund levee improvements. However, Mayor Dan Wilson recently told the council there may be another funding option. Wilson says there may be an opportunity through the USDA’s Rural Development Agency. He says they’re developing an application. The city has been working on plans to upgrade its levee after portions of the community were flooded in 2008.
