Washington County Hospital is in the process of switching over to an electronic record keeping system. CEO Don Patterson says this allows quicker access to information, allows them to monitor changes in patients conditions over time more easily and transfer patient records more effectively. Patterson says they are about 80 percent paperless in their records department. He says they expect to see some financial assistance from the federal government.
