Washington County is abandoning the town of Paris, also known as Valley. This proverbial “ghost town” has long been farmed over, and County Engineer David Patterson says they’re simply turning over the city streets to the handful of property owners in the area. Patterson says the small community was never really grew. He says it’s located in the southwestern corner of the county just north of the Skunk River on Birch Avenue.
