Snow Days Now Mean School Days in June

Area students enjoyed some time off this week due to a winter storm that dropped upwards of ten inches of snow. Washington Schools Superintendent Dave Sextro says that time will need to be made up at the end of the year. As it stands now, Washington students will have class June first, second and third. Sextro says they are required to have 180 days of school. He says the district works with a calendar developed by him and the principals.
