Lola Kathleen (Kathy) Fisher, 74, of Keosauqua formerly of Washington died Tuesday December 1, 2009 at Van Buren County Hospital following a decline in health.
Memorial services will be held in the spring of 2010 with Michael Zahs officiating services. Memorials can be directed to the Keosauqua Public Library. Online condolences may be sent for Kathy’s family through the web at www.jonesfh.com. The Jones – Eden Funeral Home in Washington is handling the arrangements.
Kathy was born on September 11, 1935 in Washington, Iowa the daughter of James Richard and Oneita Griggs Fisher. She attended West Chester Consolidated School in West Chester, Iowa. Kathy was the Librarian of the Keosauqua Public Library for many years. She loved good food, good books, and cats.
Kathy is survived by her brother, Ron Fisher of Arlington, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services for 90 year old Ruth Maxine Owen of Washington, formerly of Keota, are at 2:00 Friday (12/4) at the Jones Eden Funeral Home. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation is tomorrow (12/3) night from 4-7 at the funeral home. Family visitation is from noon until service time Friday. Memorials have been established to West Chester United Methodist Church or the United Presbyterian Home.
