IMS fourth and unbeaten at the break

Posted: Monday, December 28th, 2009 at 8:16 am

The IMS boys basketball team went into the holiday break undefeated and ranked number four in the state, but even with their success, they are still in the evaluation period. IMS reached the state semifinals last year and ended up third in the state, but lost two key seniors in Jesse Ney and Danny Hershberger. IMS is 6-0 after the first part of the season and Head Coach Dwight Gingerich says they continue to look at improvement and look to figure out exactly what everyone’s role will be. They do return to the court Saturday, the day after New Years, to play Morning Star Academy which is starting up a basketball program. IMS was granted by the state permission to play a 22nd game to help fill Morning Star’s schedule.
