Washington County is hoping to widen the shoulders on the Wayland Road. County Engineer David Patterson made the recommendation to supervisors after a multi entity safety assessment. Patterson says his department has prepared a grant application to help fund the road widening. He says they hope to enlarge the shoulder between the city of Washington and the Coppock Quarry Road.
