Columbus Junction is swearing in a new Police Chief today at their end of the year council meeting. Marlin O’Donnell will be retiring as of December 31st and Assistant Police Chief Donne Orr will be promoted and sworn in at the meeting as new Police Chief. Orr has been a member of the city’s police force for nearly two decadesand became assistant chief about eight years ago. Other items on the agenda include swearing in the incumbent Mayor and council, and a renewal of the American Legion Liquor License.
