A hand full of girls basketball teams kicked off their season last night including a couple of area teams. First Winfield-Mount Union held off West Liberty 37-34. Elsewhere BGM beat Keota 39-32. The Washington Demons were suppose to play at Williamsburg but with the Raiders reaching the semis in volleyball, the game was moved to December 10th.
