Wet, cool weather continues to cause trouble for local farmers trying to get their crops out of the fields. ISU Extension Regional Director Gene Mohling says wet grain is taking a chunk out of producer’s operating budgets. Mohling says with current fuel prices, drying down grain can cost producers in excess of 150 dollars per acre. He says there has been some downward pressure on the market, but that’s normal for this time of year.
