Washington has elected its first ever female mayor. Sandra Johnson was appointed to the position after the death of Mayor Rick Cicalo. Johnson credits her experience as the reason why voters chose her. Norm Bruty was a write in candidate running against Johnson in last night’s election. However, she took more than three times as many votes as he did.
