The Rebuild Iowa Office is proposing statewide, integrated planning system. Some consider it to be a form of state implemented zoning. Fairfield Senator Becky Schmitz says she hasn’t heard a lot of information on the proposal, but feels it would be met with a lot of opposition. According to the Rebuild Iowa Office Website, the proposal outlines a framework for a local, regional and statewide planning process.
