An unidentified motorist was air lifted to University of Iowa Hospital after a crash on Highway 218 in Washington County over the weekend. 911 Supervisor Cara Sorrells says sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash near mile marker 69 early Saturday morning. She says preliminary reports indicate the driver was ejected from the vehicle. Sorrells says the drivers name is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin. The accident remains under investigation.
