The new Riverside Veterans Memorial will be dedicated this week during a special service in honor of Veterans Day. Volunteer Chairperson Christine Kirkwood says Veterans Memorial Park originally had a sign which named the town’s veterans. It has since come down. Kirkwood says they wanted something to be built in its place. Kirkwood says public reaction to the memorial has been overwhelmingly positive. She says the ceremony will have a featured speaker, singing of “America the Beautiful”, and unveiling of the memorial.
