American Legion members are hoping to continue serving their country, but on the home-front. Eugene Schumacher is Vice Commander for the Midwestern Region. He wants the Legion to act as a support network for troops deployed overseas. He says they shouldn’t have to worry about their families well being while their away. Schumacher spoke at Washington’s National Guard Readiness Center as part of a tour of Eastern Iowa.
