64 people applied for general assistance in Washington County during this fiscal year’s first quarter. GA Administrator Sue Rich says that’s a significant increase over last year at this time. Rich says in all they approved 27 of the 64 applications. She says 35 were denied and two were withdrawn. Rich presented the agency’s quarterly report to supervisors at this week’s meeting.
